There was a meeting...
Apr 28, 2019
Save The Chelsfield held an open forum public meeting at 7pm on 25 April 2019 at The Chelsfield - our community pub; the meeting was hosted by Bryan, supported by the STC committee together with our three local councillors, Angela, Mike, Samaris and Norman from CAMRA.
There were well over one hundred people who attended in person, occupying the function room and the bar areas to capacity; it really was great to see so many of you there in person. For those who could not make it, we live streamed the event on FaceBook, and we know that to date over 1,500 people have watched our live stream; you can watch it below.
We also need everybody to submit their own submissions to the Planning Inspectorate, we urge you to do this please - just because we are doing this does not mean that we do not need you to do this too!

The Planning Appeal process has begun
Apr 10, 2019

As you may recall, at the council meeting of 14th February 2019 the original planning application made by Punch Partnerships (PML) Ltd to demolish our much loved pub was unanimously rejected and the council also agreed to contest the appeal that Punch had already lodged.
The appeal will be considered by the Planning inspectorate; an independent executive agency of the UK Government. We have now received confirmation that the Planning Inspectorate has, appointed a case officer; will use the written representations procedure; and that the official starting date was 4th April 2019.
